Chapter 214 - hejiang University’s Starter Team

Chapter 214: Zhejiang University’s Starter Team

The group of them arrived at the front gates of Zhejiang University on Friday night at around 9 pm. Yang Ying had already made arrangements with the university beforehand, and the vice president of Zhejiang University E-sports Club—Ke Shaoying was there to receive them. They had also arranged temporary accommodation for the members of Shanghai University team in their university dormitories.

Each university had their own dormitories, and Zhejiang University’s dorms were quite elegant and classy. Six people to a room, the walls were off-white with simple decorations and new cabinets installed.

“Why don’t you settle in first and take a rest, when our president arrives, we’ll go out for supper. We can also give you a tour of our campus at the same time.” Shaoying said, once he led them to the place.

“Alright, sounds good. Thanks.” Yang Ying said, nodding his head.

There were sixty members from Shanghai University this time, and most of them were here for the first time. There was a strong feeling of curiosity burning in them.

Zhejiang University gave off a feeling of mystery to the girls, and a sense of anticipation for the guys.

Hangzhou and Zhejiang were a representation of Jiangnan. Jiangnan’s gracefulness and beauty were like a painting, always appearing on the screen. The girls liked the freshness of this environment, and of course, the guys were loving the beauty and elegance of the girls in Jiangnan.

Hangzhou was not as lively as Shanghai and it wasn’t as busy either. Zhejiang University was also located at some distance from the urban area, and it was extraordinarily quiet.

Seeing Hangzhou and Zhejiang University, Luocheng couldn’t help but be angry at himself. If he had studied harder and gotten better results in the university entrance exams, maybe he could have been spending his days together with Qianqian at Zhejiang University.

Ah well, his scores were too far behind to get in here anyway.

“Where?” Qianqian’s melodic voice floated through the receiver of his phone, and he couldn’t help but smile at the pleasing feeling he got when he heard it.

“At your university’s dorms.” Luocheng replied.

“Come down and I’ll meet you at the gates,” Qianqian said.

“Alright.”

Luocheng cast a hasty greeting toward Yang Ying before running toward the stairs and heading downward. Yang Ying watched as Luocheng disappeared, his heart feeling somewhat envious. ‘This sister of mine didn’t even bother to update me on anything for so long, now that your own brother here, you didn’t even give him a call, but instead, calling Luocheng first…’

There was a small garden downstairs, and the trees were lush and not wilting because of the season.

Qianqian was wearing a knitted hoodie, seated on the bench.

When Luocheng reached the bottom of the stairs, his heart started beating faster as he took in the slender beauty in front of him. Only, the suspicious man standing beside her made him feel uneasy.

What the hell was this?

Could it be that his goddess had already been taken by someone else in this short time, and she was here with the guy to explain it to him?

Qianqian lifted her head when his feet hit the bottom of the stairs, and her face lit up in delight as she hurriedly went to his side, wrapping her arms around his. However, before Luocheng could fully appreciate the intimacy with his goddess, the guy who had been standing beside her just now was already in front of him.

He smiled at Luocheng and said, “Hi, I’m the ADC for Zhejiang University’s starter team, Jiang Qiming. We are very appreciative that you could come to Zhejiang.”

“Ah, I’m Luocheng, Support for the starter team.” Luocheng replied.

“Qianqian is a member of our e-sports club and she always talks about how great your skills in LOL is. I’ve wanted to have a match against you for a while now, and I didn’t expect that our paths would cross so soon in the inter-university competition.” Qiming explained, his face never losing the warm smile.

“Then we’ll see each other in the match tomorrow,” Luocheng said, smirking. “Qianqian, you said you wanted to bring me around the campus, right? Let’s go.”

“Sure, what about my brother?” Qianqian asked.

“He’ll just be in the way.”

“That’s true.”

Seeing that Luocheng and Qianqian were speaking sweetly with each other in low tones, Qiming took the hint and excused himself. Once he had left, Luocheng swiftly planted a short kiss on Qianqian’s lips. Feeling satisfied, he asked, “Who was that guy? He seemed close to you.”

“An admirer,” Qianqian said nonchalantly.

“Didn’t you tell him you’re taken?” Luocheng asked.

“Of course I did, but we’re in the same club. When he has nothing to do, he’ll find me to chat and discuss LOL. That’s the reason I always bring you up and talk about how great you are…” Qianqian explained in a huff.

“Are you trying to make me jealous?” Luocheng asked, looking at her.

“Make sure you beat him soundly in tomorrow’s match, otherwise, I’ll never hear the end of it,” Qianqian said instead.

“Don’t worry, he won’t have a good time trying to hit on my girl!” Luocheng said, his voice laced with underlying anger.

How dare you try to take advantage of what is mine when I’m not around, you really don’t value your life!

Wait and see, Zhejiang’s starter team ADC!

“I heard from my brother that you ran into some problems at the university?” Qianqian asked.

“Yeah,” Luocheng said, diving into a summary of what had transpired with Mr. Fang.

Qianqian was worried after she heard the story, saying, “What are you going to do? Our starter team is really good, and they would always practice and train with Team Revelation. I’ve watched their matches against second seed professional teams, their win rate is particularly high.”

Qianqian had accidentally betrayed her own side, but it couldn’t be helped as her boyfriend and brother were both at Shanghai University.

“Who’s the best in your university?” Luocheng asked.

“The president is the best player, he’s the captain of Team Revelation’s reserve team. You don’t normally see him on campus,” Qianqian replied.

“Captain of Team Revelation’s reserve team?” Luocheng repeated in shock.

The reserve team of Team Revelation was already on par with a second seed professional team, and to be able to claim the captain title, he must have some connections. Not only that, having a professional equivalent player in a team made by students, they would definitely be on another level if you compared them to the other university teams!

Even though the members from Shanghai University were strong, they were all only barely touching the level of a third rate professional player.

“Uh huh, our team’s strength isn’t that much different than the reserve team for Team Revelation. The captain is particularly strong, and Qiming is also one of the main forces in the team. They’re both considered to be the carries of the team.” Qianqian explained.

Luocheng furrowed his brows in frustration. As expected, Zhejiang University’s e-sports standards were completely on a professional level, even comparable to second seed teams.

The professional training experience that Shanghai University experienced had only been only about two months, it was short compared to how long Zhejiang had been doing the same. The gap in their experiences was really too big.
