Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 1339 - Finale (5)

Chapter 1339: Finale (5)

The next morning.

Gu Mohan felt an itch at the tip of his nose, as if something was tickling him there. He slowly opened his eyes.

The windows were opened and the sunlight streaming in was dazzling to the eye. A gentle breeze wafted in, softly stirring the curtains.

The room was filled with the warmth of spring.

A slender, fragrant body was sprawled across his firm chest. Gu Mohan looked down to see Tang Mo’er’s delicate little face gazing up at him. She was holding a strand of her own hair in her long, fair fingers, and using it to tickle his nose. “Hubby, you lazy worm. You need to get up.”

Gu Mohan wrapped one muscular arm around her, his manner lazy and relaxed. “Mrs Gu, let me sleep a little longer.”

He didn’t want to get out of bed.

This was all too perfect. He felt like he was in a dream. The bright sunlight, her warm body.

Tang Mo’er smiled. She drew circles with her finger on his firm chest as she said silkily, “Mr Gu, could it be that I squeezed you dry last night, that’s why you can’t even get out of bed this morning? Mr Gu has indeed grown old.”

What?

Did she just call him old?

Gu Mohan immediately sat up. “I will let you have a good look at whether I am old!”

Tang Mo’er laughed happily as he embraced her and roguishly roamed his large hands all over her body. She smacked his hands away. “Okay, stop fooling around. Sisi and I are waiting to have breakfast with you downstairs.”

Wriggling out of his embrace, Tang Mo’er left the room. Gu Mohan gazed at her departing profile with a gentle expression on his handsome face. He got off the bed and walked lazily into the bathroom.

His toothbrush was already laid out in the bathroom, with the toothpaste already squeezed onto the bristles. Clean towels were folded by the side.

When he finished washing up, he found his shirt and pants hung up in the cupboard, and they were perfectly ironed without a crease. He placed the shirt against his nose and sniffed. It held the soapy fragrance of freshly laundered clothing. It also held her lovely scent.

The words she spoke to him yesterday night echoed in his mind. ‘I’m going to make you enjoy every single day we spend together. You’re going to be more satisfied than you can ever imagine...”

Now, she was taking care of his every need as if she had been doing it all along and the room was filled with her wondrous fragrance. Gu Mohan shoved his hands into his pockets and looked up at the sunlight shining outside the window. A gentle smile played upon his lips...

...

In the dining room.

Little Gu Sihan was already seated at the dining table. Seeing Gu Mohan come down, she called out sweetly, “Daddy, good morning.”

“Sisi, good morning.” Gu Mohan sat down at the head of the table.

Auntie came out of the kitchen with two small bowls and placed one in front of Gu Mohan and Little Gu Sihan.

Gu Mohan glanced down at it. It was a bowl of creamy, fragrant porridge.

“Auntie, what are we having this morning?”

“Sir, Madam said to have porridge for breakfast.”

“Porridge?” Little Gu Sihan asked curiously.

“Yes, porridge is made by stewing rice in a large pot.” At this moment, Tang Mo’er came out of the kitchen wearing an apron and bearing several plates topped with fresh fish, beef, fried dough sticks, vegetables, and her very own special sauce.

When Little Gu Sihan inhaled the delicious smells, she clapped vigorously. “Wah, Mommy, you are so amazing.”

Tang Mo’er boiled an egg for Gu Mohan first. “Hubby, does it taste good?”

Looking at her gentle, wife-like demeanor and eating her home-cooked breakfast, Gu Mohan nodded. “It tastes great.”

As she watched the scene, Auntie got all teary-eyed. During these three years when Madam was not around, the entire Gu Family had been as cold as an ice cave.

Now that Madam was back, the house was once again filled with cheer and laughter, the kitchen was suffused with the fragrance of delicious food, and Sir’s face was all smiles.

The family started to eat their breakfast. Suddenly Tang Mo’er thought of something. “Mr Gu, how much pocket money do you give Yelin now that he is attending school?”

Gu Mohan considered the question. “Yelin has never asked me for pocket money.”

“Huh?”

“If he asks me for it, I will give him ten million a month. When he starts to develop his own business, I may take out a hundred million for him to kick-start things.”

“...”

Tang Mo’er was speechless. “Mr Gu, is it alright to give him so much money?”

Gu Mohan gave a faint smile and gazed at her warmly. “It’s fine. Our family is rich.”

“...”

Tang Mo’er looked at her daughter. “Since Yelin will get so much money... So how much should we give Sisi?”

Before Gu Mohan could say anything, Little Gu Sihan took a sip of milk and hurriedly cut in. “Daddy, Mommy, you don’t need to give me any money.”

“Why?” Tang Mo’er asked.

“Your money should be left to your son and daughter-in-law. I am a daughter and it won’t be long before I get a husband. By then, my husband would take care of me.”

“...”

What?

Tang Mo’er was stunned. More and more she was realizing that she could no longer keep up with her daughter’s way of thinking.

Seeming to take it all in stride, Gu Mohan calmly looked at Little Gu Sihan. “Sisi, well done!”

“...”

Tang Mo’er felt like screaming inside. Oh no!

...

At night, the party began.

Tang Mo’er changed into a long red dress and put up her silky hair into a casual chignon. A pair of pearl earrings dangled from her snow-white ears. She exuded so much womanly charm that one could barely tear their eyes off of her.

It had been three years since she last saw Shi’shi and An’an.

Sometimes, when she thought back about how they used to be the three beauties of Capital, it felt like a lifetime ago. Now, Shi’shi, An’an and her were all blissfully happy mothers and wives.

Tang Mo’er was very excited. She could finally see her bosom friends again. But recalling how her son Yelin looked so disinterested in Little Lemon, she couldn’t help but feel somewhat disappointed.

“Mr Gu, it looks like your son is unable to win over Young Master Fu’s daughter.” Tang Mo’er batted her lashes as she gazed at Gu Mohan regretfully.

Gu Mohan had one hand in his pocket as he stood by the floor-length window, watching a luxury limousine come to a stop outside.

Fu Qinglun and Lin Shiyu had arrived.

Gu Mohan raised one brow as he hugged Tang Mo’er’s waist. “Don’t tell Fu Qinglun about this.”

“Why not?”

“Because... he will laugh.”

“Mm...”

Tang Mo’er discreetly pressed her lips together. She pinched Gu Mohan’s handsome face gently. “Mr Gu, you are too proud.”

Gu Mohan pinched her soft waist. “Our guests have arrived.”

When Tang Mo’er looked up, she saw that a luxury limousine had come to a halt out in front of their lawn. The car door opened and Fu Qinglun and Lin Shiyu stepped out.

Lin Shiyu was wearing a pale purple dress. Pale purple and rose-red were the two most difficult colors for women to pull off but somehow, Lin Shiyu managed to pull it off perfectly. Her long hair cascaded down her shoulders in waves. Over the past three years, Lin Shiyu remained just as lovely as before. Except now that she was the Madam of Castle Guding, there was an added layer of royalty and elegance to her person. She was so breathtakingly beautiful.

Tang Mo’er promptly pushed Gu Mohan aside before lifting up her long dress and running out. “Shiyu, you’re here?”

The abandoned Gu Mohan, “...”
